Where is the exit course button?

You might have noticed that the familiar ‘exit course’ button has been conspicuously missing as of late from the end of our training courses. We have removed the ‘exit course’ button from our courses in favor of simplifying the process and now you’ll just need to close the course window.

How should I exit courses?

All you need to do is close the course the way you would close any browser window that you’re done with. Clicking the small ex in the upper right-hand side of the course window is the correct way to leave the course. Reaching the end of the training is all you need to do to set your completion in learning management system.

Why did it get removed?

We are constantly trying to improve our systems and one aspect we are really interested in ensuring runs smoothly is course tracking. We’ve improved the way our courses communicate completion back to the learning management system and that made the ‘exit course’ button no longer necessary.

We had lots of feedback that before this change users would close the window without clicking the ‘exit course’ button and subsequently wouldn’t get marked complete despite reaching the end of the training. We took this feedback to heart and ensured that reaching the end of the course would trigger completion, rather than pressing a specific button.
